Our Providers

Michael Komin, M.D.

I grew up in the small farming community of Shafter, California. After completing my Surgical and Family Practice Residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, Ca., I accepted a position at Aviation Street Medical on the outskirts of Shafter, Ca., where I practiced Family Medicine, Aviation Medicine (AME) and Industrial Medicine. In 2005, I opened a new office in Shafter, Ca. and established Komin Medical Group to care for the medically underserved community. Komin Medical Group has been serving Shafter for over 17 years and is a certified California Rural Health Center. I currently practice Family Medicine, serve as Senior AME, HIMS and practice Corporate Medicine.

Brent Musolf, D.C.

Dr. Musolf has a philosophy of “Patient First”. He allows only one scheduled patient at a time, ensuring no one is waiting and each patient receives his full attention. With his extensive experience treating patients with a large variety of injuries, from farming to battlefield, he provides patients with the opportunity for recovery they may not have had before, and typically quicker and safer recovery for most common injuries.

Dr. Brent Musolf holds a Doctor of Chiropractic, is board certified in Physiotherapy, an Associate Professor of Anatomy, holds an EMT-B, and is certified to teach OSHA 501 training. Brent has over 15 years treating spine trauma injuries from industrial and farm accidents, nearly three years treating bomb blast injuries in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Sudan, and establishing and overseeing the operations and healthcare standards of 23 clinics in four countries. He received a State of Georgia, Department of Defense Commendation Medal for his work with US Soldiers. Dr. Musolf’s extensive experience is a great addition to the Komin Medical Group family.
